The ProCollar® is a premium protective collar that is designed to protect your pet from reaching injuries, rashes, or post surgery wounds. The ProCollar® has an inflatable inner bladder made of a plastic vinyl that is inflated through a two-way air valve much like a beach ball. Once inflated, the size and thickness of the ProCollar® function as a soft deterrent. The inner bladder is protected by a pliable plastic outer jacket lined with a durable canvas material to resist bites and scratches. The ProCollar® is held in place by inserting the pet's everyday collar through the the ProCollar®'s three inner rings. The velcro strap should be placed at the back of the neck and then adjusted for a perfect fit. While wearing the ProCollar®, pets are able to eat, sleep and play at ease while staying protected. To prevent another animal from biting the patient's collar; Rub with bitter apple or ammonia. The ProCollar® is machine washable or can be washed with anti-bacterial soap and/or ammonia and laid flat to dry. Always monitor a pet post-surgery to ensure that the collar is working properly. Some pets may be able to maneuver around any collar. Best available protective collar - March 10, 2009"This is a much better option that the old dreadful “lampshade”. Best available protective collar - March 10, 2009"This is a much better option that the old dreadful “lampshade”. My dog didn’t mind at all when I put this on her after her abdominal surgery, and it seems like she doesn't even notice that she has had it on day and night for several days now. That means that she must be perfectly comfortable wearing it. (It reminds me of the travel pillow!) She can see and doesn’t run into the walls, she can eat and drink easily and without making a mess, she can fit through her crate door and other tight spaces… And most importantly, it seems to be doing a good job with keeping my big long-legged puppy from licking and biting herself." Best option for my boxer - March 9, 2009"I have a boxer about 64lbs +she has a mast cell tumor removed from her hind leg.Needless to say the traditional e-collar was a complete nightmare from minute 1. we both didn't sleep for 2 days. tried this one +was shocked on how well it worked she cannot reach the stiches+doesn't seem to be bothered at all this is a life saver for her +me thank you for coming up with this product.Thru it all please try this one it is worth it and your sanity easy to use , true to sz(lg) in my case and she uses it as a pillow. I cannot say enought but I was blessed to find it ." Comforting For You and Your Pet - February 26, 2009
"This morning I rushed to my local Petco to purchase this collar for my puppy who was spayed yesterday. What a difference from the hard, difficult to negotiate, disorienting E-Collar she got sent home in. This collar is simple to assemble, lightweight and form fitting. Most importantly, while wearing it she is able to do everything she wants and needs to do and nothing she should not be doing- like licking or chewing her sutures." BEST PRODUCT LIKE THIS ON THE MARKET! - February 10, 2009
"There is not a product on the market the compares to the ProCollar. It is the best animal-habit preventative device made. E-collars are uncomfortable for dogs, and they are aren't conducive to happy healing." "I bought the collar for our 9 year old Rottie-Lab mix as he was chewing his tail raw due to an allergy. The first night he got to his tail and I re-inflated the product and it worked great. What amazed me was that he didn't mind having it on one bit; actually used it as a pillow..so much better than an e-collar. I don't know however, if he would be able to reach his feet, stomach, etc. with the colllar on but, I suspect that he would. It worked great for what we needed it for!" This is a Great choice! - January 19, 2009"My small cat had just been spayed and I was advised to use a collar for her. I had an old cone type at home so I used it. She went beserk at 1st so I took it off but soon realized she might need it as her incision site started to show stitches and she had the kind that are underneath the skin. I then put the old one on and it worked but because of it being old it soon cracked. I tried another plastic one sold in store but she couldn't eat or drink with it. I spent the extra bucks and got the xsmall size and it was like day & night. She perked up, started eating, drinking and playing with her little kitty friend, who was already thru her spay, and so far so good on her not being able to reach incision or get it off. This is a great product for cats." Best Purchase Ever - January 7, 2009"This Collar is a miracle from God!! We used this collar for our 8 month old 7 lb. kitten. We got her spayed and she ripped off that stupid plastic cone the second we were in the car to bring her home. We tried repeatedly to get it back on her but couldn't, we were desperate by the time we got her home her vet was closed, and she was pulling out her stitches. so I called an urgent care and they suggested this so we made it to petco 1o min. before close of store and followed the directions in the package and it was instant comfort for her, she didn't fight it like she did the cone. She has kept it on all night and hasn't touched her stitches." Great! - December 16, 2008"My vet gave us a regular e-collar for my dog's injury. My poor, little guy was miserable in that plastic nightmare. I went and got this collar and it was a true God-send. I just looped his regualr collar through it and he was so much more comfortable; we didn't have any problems keeping it on him for the whole week+ that he had to wear it. It's kind of expensive but totally worth the price, to me, to make my little guy more comfortable. He also managed to use it as a pillow of sorts, when he was slepping!" Best Purchase Ever - November 7, 2008"Our Maltese/Lhasa Apso mix was spayed and hated the plastic cone. She wouldn't walk and looked very depressed every time we had it on her. We purchased this protective collar in small and are so pleased. It is 100 times better than the cone. She is able to talk, eat, and drink without injurying her infection site. Plus, it is so easy to get on and off. Thanks for making such a great product!" What a difference! - October 3, 2008"My cat was given a cone shaped collar after surgery. Since he couldn't see around it, he kept losing his balance. He couldn't eat or drink properly. This inflatable pillow collar was a life saver! He could see everything, reach his food easily, and best of all, it acted like a pillow when he wanted to nap. He really loved it. It made his healing process go so much smoother. Bless whoever invented this thing!" SO glad I found this! - September 3, 2008
"I have a large Min-Pin. He's slightly larger than AKC standards, and the small size fit him perfectly. He has allergies and was swiping his paws against his snout and brushing his fur off in spots. I put this collar on him and raised his paw up to see if he'd still be able to reach his snout, and he couldn't! Yay! He looked a little sad at first because he is not a dog who likes being dressed up or have bandanas on, etc. I just followed my vet's advice of cheering for him, clapping for him, and praising him, and his little tail started wagging like crazy. He enjoyed wearing it because he knew he'd get praise and love. :-) A fantastic product! :-)"
"We've searched high and low for a protective collar that would be feline friendly. We've tried the ones that look like a clown collar also known as soft-e-collar, traditional e-collars....this one wins hands down. We've got a cat with horrible allergies and once in awhile he's got to wear this so he doesn't make the hot spots worse. He gets around just fine. He scratches the neck on occasion and no holes. We love this collar..." March 22, 2006"I had to write to tell you what a great thing the ProCollar is. Last December we lost one of our females 3 days after she was spayed. She had learned to maneuver the Elizabethan collar through the doggy door. She also learned how to get it off. We watched her closely as she was a licker to be sure she was okay. On that Saturday night she was playing, eating, her incision looked really good, so we decided to take in a movie. When we got home we opened the door from the garage to a houseful of blood. Not a pretty sight. Had we had the ProCollar we would still have Jazz." "Today Indy, her puppy, was spayed. I bought the ProCollar and we took it to the vet, inflated for them to out it on her after she woke up. It works beautifully. She can eat, drink, and lay down. Of course, she is still really mad at us and will not have much to do with us, but we know she will be safe from doing damage to herself as long as she has it on." "Thank you for such a great product. I just happened to see it at PetCo and when I saw it, knew that we had to have one before Indy’s surgery." -Sharon May 23, 2006"I just wanted to say thank you for developing the “Pro Collar”! My vision impaired 5 month old puppy (his optical never developed properly) was just neutered and I was really worried about his having to wear an Elizabethan collar that would restrict his vision even more! I found your ProCollar at Pet Co. and decided to try it." "What a great product! Magoo has had no problems adapting to it and is unable to lick the surgery site!" Thank you! September 4, 2006"I came across the ProCollar by accident at my local PetCo. It’s a GREAT product – and my cat appreciates it too!" -Lori September 30, 2006"Thank you for creating the ProCollar. My Siberian Husky had surgery two days ago- had a salivary gland removed- and for the first day wore a traditional Elizabethan style plastic cone. I found your product online and realized I could buy it directly from PetCo. While wearing the ProCollar, Sienna has a wider range of vision, can walk normally, and SLEEP WELL with it on. Thank you for helping this time to be a little easier." -Dana April 29, 2007"I am a groomer that works at an Animal Hospital in Palm Desert, CA. Our vet has recently just started to use your ProCollar in place of the traditional E-collar. Just recently I groomed a dog that had one on and decided to leave it on for this dog was not very cooperative for grooming. I was totally amazed at the control it helped to give me with the animal. I talked to the veterinary staff and found that they use them as much for control and protection from the animals as for the animals chewing themselves." "I asked to have one to use to bathe cats and found it acts as a portable “scruff” and gives you that “third hand” you wish you had when handling cats. Plus the biggest problem with bathing cats is that they often “pin ball” in the tub the second you turn on the water and I have some bash themselves bloody before you can blink. The ProCollar gives a cushion around their head that helps to prevent this." "I have begun to use them on more and more animals as I think they are the best protection tool made in recent years for handling animals." Sincerely, |
